NY Palette

Despite people mingle with boredom, exhaustion, struggle, and lack of satisfaction, the New York sky anyhow colors absolute power on the immense canvas gracefully, lyrically, or fiercely.

NY Palette is composed of Colors:part I & II, Gradation:part I & II, and Saturation:part I & II. These works represent collages of daily skyline photos throughout a year that were taken at the same spot. I selected pictures among the thousands of photos and assembled them like big color swatches. Then I drew the small windows on the tapestry of skies to juxtapose the diversity of emotion and imagination between the sky created every moment and people made through ordinary life.
